What the shop collects when you browse and order tags, why, who handles it for us, and what you can ask us for. This is not legal advice.

Who we are

What we collect

• When you browse. No account and no advertising cookies. Visits are counted with cookieless, aggregate analytics: we can see that a page was read, not who read it. Google Analytics runs only if it is switched on and you accept it in the cookie banner.
• When you add tags to your basket. A basket cookie holds the reference of your basket at Shopify, so it is still there on the next page. It holds no personal details.
• When you check out. Checkout is hosted by Shopify, not by this site. You give your name, email address, delivery address and, if you choose, a phone number. Card details go straight to the payment provider; we never see them. We receive the order: what you bought, the price, and the name, email and address it goes to.
• When you order from the pricing calculator. Your plan, billing period and months travel with the order, so Core can match it to your plan, and we use the email you pay with to invite you to your Core workspace.

Why we use it

To make, deliver and support your order; to send you emails about it; to set up the Core workspace you asked for; to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires; and to answer you when you write to us. Never for advertising, and never sold.

Who handles it for us

• Shopify, which runs the store, the checkout and the order records.
• The payment provider shown at checkout, which takes your payment.
• Vercel, which hosts this site and counts visits without cookies.
• Adobe Fonts, which serves the type. Your browser asks it for the font files; it sets no cookie.
• Core, DEPARTMNT's own system, which receives the order to set up your plan.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records. Your basket reference for 14 days. Anything else no longer than we need it for the reason we collected it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how it is used, or ask us to stop. Write to hello@departmnt.xyz. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
